El Gouna Kitesurf Centre - Movenpick Hotel - El Gouna, Red Sea

The Sportif kitesurfing centre in El Gouna, Egypt is located directly on the beach by the Movenpick Resort. There is a shallow lagoon with a big sandy area and coral reef which boarders deeper water.


Open Year Round. This centre is exclusively for guests staying at the Movenpick Resort.


Location
The centre is located directly on the beach of the Movenpick Resort El Gouna. There is a lagoon with shallow water from ankle to waist deep, depending on the tides. The wind is dominantly side-shore from the north. There is a big sandy area for students and beginners and a coral reef at the edge of the lagaoon which makes the lagoon flat and and keeps the chop away. 


Services
Kitesurf lessons from beginner up to expert level are available and can be booked in either groups or private lessons. For qualified kiters, the full range of kites and boards can be rented. There is a rescue boat on stand by if needed.
Space available for those with their own equipment at an additional charge as part of the Kite Service Package which includes a rescue service.  (This is required to be booked in advance to guarantee availability.)

Please note: All riders must register with the kitecentre, receive a safety briefing, sign a liability waiver and have paid the appropriate fee before using any part of the kite beach. You are expected to show responsible behaviour on and off the water, safe launching and landing skills, the ability to turn direction, satisfactory knowledge of water re-launch and self-rescue, compliance with standard “right of way” rules, use of the safety system (leash), knowledge of the international communication signs.  The Freeride area is exclusively for Mövenpick guests in the high season months from April to end of November.
